Jellyfish Nebula
This is the jellyfish nebula (IC 443)! It a supernova remnant that’s about thirty thousand years old.
One of the really neat things about this nebula is that it contains a neuron star, can’t really see it in this image but it’s there.
This nebula is super faint so I couldn’t use a color camera on it, this image is a false color combination of the emissions of three ions: oxygen-iii, sulfur-ii and hydrogen-alpha.
