Bode’s Galaxy Group
This is a galaxy cluster I can’t resist imaging every year.
This is the M81 Group, which is named after the dominant galaxy in the center, M81, also known as Bode’s Galaxy. There’s also two other very visible galaxies here, the one on the left is M82, the Cigar Galaxy, and the one in the bottom right, the Garland Galaxy, or NGC 3077.
But these aren’t all! There’s at least six other galaxies present here! Check out the below image for an annotation of all the galaxies present in this image.
